When we look into the sky at night, except for the Moon and a scattering of Stars, everything is black. 96 % of the universe is dark and remains a mystery.
“Space Lamp “, poses a surreal question.
If a huge lamp could be turned on in some dark area of space, what would it reveal ?
This condition becomes real in the imagination of the Artist as he yields fully to the possibilities.
A large lamp with a red shade illuminates a greenish atmosphere, along with bright new planets waiting to be discovered. Stars reflect both from the darkness of the space beyond and from the distance in the lighted region.
A far off Galaxy is revealed in the lower left corner, drawing a blue comet into a black hole near it’s center, while a large bird flies toward the light, to see what’s going on !
Could such strange things exist somewhere in space ?
